2010 Impreza

Great article and read about: 2010 Impreza

Q: How much weight can a new 2010 subaru impreza hold?
My getting a 2010 subaru impreza soon and i carry alot of weight with me. All my sports gear and I’m 250 myself. I know on the side of the front door they tell you how much they hold, can someone tell me.

A: No max weight is given in the specs. Between you, other passengers and equipment, I wouldn’t go over 1000 lbs, which is about 1/3 of the base curb weight.

Q: What do you think of the 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback sport?
Do you consider it to be a good all around car?

A: I wouldn’t buy one over a standard Impreza hatchback unless you really need the extra bit of ground clearance.

Q: Would you rather have a 2010 VW Golf or a 2010 Subaru Impreza outback sport and why?
You forgot the part of the question were i said “and why”

A: Neither…..My choice would be either the ford fusion or if thats price too high for you go with the focus. Much better cars !!!

Q: what do you think of the 2010 Subaru Impreza?
What do you like and dislike about it and why.

A: rear engine seals have been going out on subaru engines for years and subaru refuses to address the problem.
shop elsewhere.

Q: What is the offset on the stock 2010 subaru impreza wheels?

A: I just did a little searching around an I’m pretty sure it’s 55mm although there were a couple places that said 53. But that’s close enough as long as you are in that general area.

Q: How will a Cold Air Intake hold up in wisconsin weather ( i have a 2010 Subaru Impreza)?
I want to put in an aftermarket Cold Air Intake…..As you may know wisconsin has alot of snow, slush, and rain….and i was wondering if it would be ok, considering the elements that i listed and because of how low the intake is…..
answers are appreciated

A: A decent cold air intake, one that does not suck air from too low on the vehicle, will hold up fine. And, for your $29.00 to $399.00, you’ll receive about 6 to 12 more HP on an Impreza. Not a waste of money I’d bother with.

Q: What is the top speed of a 2010 Subaru Impreza 2.5i (no turbo, just stock 170 HP)?
ive been looking everywhere, just out of curiosity because i have one….
Top speed not hp

A: Somewhere in the mid 120’s or low 130’s.

Q: What is the top speed of a stock 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI?

A: Governor limited to 155 mph.

Q: Aftermarket 2010 Subaru Impreza accessories?
I’ve been looking all over, and most places focus on the STi model. I want some accessories for my 2010 Impreza. It’s a manual transmission. I just want some cosmetic accessories like a front lip, hood scoop, and a wing (scoop and wing to be like the STi’s). For interior I’m looking for a new shift knob, short shifter, pedals, and a radio head unit that will be easy to switch with the stock one. Thanks for your help, I’ve been looking around and can’t find anything, even on forums!

A: FYI the hood scoop is integrated into the hood on the WRX and STi, you can’t just add the scoop to your hood. The link below has great prices and service.

Q: When will specs for the 2010 Subaru Impreza be released? When will the car actually be at the dealership?

A: You could ask Subaru main office to email you details.

Q: Difference in styling between the 2009/2010 impreza and wrx?
Hi i’m thinking about getting a new 2010 2.5i impreza but i prefer the look of the wrx, btw im takling about the 4 door, no hatch. Are there any differences in styling between the two cars? Because I’d like to in the future, take some of the wrx parts, such as the hood, and put them onto the 2.5i to create a fake wrx, would this be possible? Thanks

A: The parts are interchangeable, the hood will bolt right on.

Q: 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback vs 2010 Audi A3 Quattro?
My soon-to-be wife and I are moving to Seattle in December and we’re in the market for a car. We’re looking for an AWD option in the form of a sportswagon. So far, we’ve narrowed it down to the Impreza Outback and the Audi A3 Quattro. Any thoughts?

A: Have you compared prices? The Impreza is going to be about $10,000 less but the interior will reflect this. Audi’s have a really nice interior and is more of a luxury car then the outback. I would rather have the outback and spend the money saved elsewhere but I guess that’s something you will have to decide. If AWD is important to you, Audi and Subaru both have great systems. I think I would have to give Subaru the edge in reliability though. VW has never been great cars and since they own Audi, it shows with them too but I guess that’s what warranties are for right?

Q: 2010 Subaru Impreza 2.5i 5-door?
I have quick question about my 2010 Subaru Impreza 2.5i 5-door. I recently purchased it and I love it but I want to get a set of snow tires for it. It has the premium package and the 12 spoke alloy wheels, and I don’t want to put the snow tires on them, does anybody know where I can get a new set of steel rims?

A: In the past I have been able to purchase the snow tires with steel wheels (and even a cheap but decent set of wheel cover for about $25 extra) as a package from Tire Rack. They come mounted and balanced and ready to go on the car. (Tirerack.com)

Q: Does the Subaru Impreza 2.5i 2010 have a maintenance light that goes on to let you know to change oil?

A: No, I believe you should change the oil as suggested in your sales handbook.

And as a 2010 model, this should be done during one of your mandatory maintenance appointments – that is, if you intend to keep your warrenty valid.

Q: Should I get the 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX or wait for the new 2011?

A: What ever your prefer. If you don’t mind waiting to see what else new they put into the 2011, then do that. But I’m sure the 2010 and 2011 will be basically the same with minimal changes. And if you wait till the 2011 just comes out, you could probably get a new 2010 for a great price.
