Great article and read about: SRT8
Q: How is the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 in snow and bad weather?
I am thinking about buying the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, I am aware of its amazing power and acceleration, but is it built like all the other jeeps? How is it in the snow and bad weather? And I see that its a 4x4, but is that full time or can you put it in 4x4 low? Thanks.
A: The SRT8 Grand Cherokee is AWD, not 4WD. There is no lockable 4WD mode. If all you are doing it city driving, you should have no trouble.
It does have very large, wide tires that will push the snow instead of cut thru it, but I dont think you are buying this vehicle to really drive it in mud or snow, are you.
And to the moron who said by a Ford...I would put the capabilities of a Jeep against any Ford SUV and see who gets to the top of the mountain first. JEEP = 4X4. Always has, always will.
Q: How can you make the 2009 dodge challenger srt8 weigh less?
What parts can you remove from the 2009 dodge challenger srt8 to make it significantly lighter?
A: Nothing will make a big difference. You'll hear some people say remove the spare tire, take out the back seat, stuff like that - taking 100 lbs off the car won't make a noticeable difference in a car that weighs more than two tons. And what would you do if you removed the spare and then had a flat?
If you want a lighter car, buy a Mustang or wait for the Camaro.
EDIT - as I expected, you did get an idiot that thought removing the back seat would be a good idea. You will NEVER notice the difference in performance, and now your 5 seat coupe seats 2. Moron.
Q: What performance parts should i add to my charger srt8?
I'm trying to get a better 0-60 time on my charger srt8...Anybody have any good suggestions to add on to my car?
A: adding a programmer to it is the most gainful amount of power you will get from it,their really expensive, but what they do is allow you to dial in the timing as well as the spark advance and also allow for more richer fuel mixture, this all combined will increase the amount of horse power, then once that's done to it you can add a few bolt on items such as a cold air intake and even nitrous if you want to,then you,ll see a high gain in horse power and speed.good luck.
Q: Does my Dodge Charger SRT8 HAVE to use 91 octane?
I am getting a SRT8 Charger and I have read that the recommended fuel is the 91 octane. Will it screw up my engine to run 87 or even run 87 with octane booster? My truck has 10.1 compression and runs great on 87. THe SRT Hemi is only 9.8 or there about.
A: not reccomend but required. the car is tuned for it and because of that wont run properly without 91+ octane.
Octane boost doesnt help much unless you put in a few bottles every fill up.
and your compression has nothing to do with it its all about timing.
when your fuel combusts
Q: were can i rent a srt8 red dodge charger or a 2008 red ford mustang shelby in the houston area?
i am looking to rent a red srt8 dodge charger or a 2008 red ford mustang shelby for an especial occasion in the houston area?
please let me know if any ideas?
A: You might try Galleria Exotics. It looks like they may have what you need. The price they quote is actually not bad. Just realize they usually have a Rev Limiter on these. If you rev them up too much they have a kill switch that cuts it off, and your have to pay to have it picked up. Other than that, they are loads of fun and for a special ocassion, worth the $500 plus insurance.

Here is another site as well:

I rented one for my wife's 50th birthday, and it was the biggest surprise of her life. The picture I have of her shows her grinning ear to ear, and you can see it through the windshield. Best picture I ever got of her, and she still talks about it.
Q: Would a used SRT8 Magnum be a good college car?
Well, I have an opportunity to purchase an SRT8 Magnum for college. I will be going to college this fall. I have experience driving other powerful cars regularly, such as a 2003 SVT Cobra and a 5.7L 300C. The Magnum has 34,000 miles and is in pretty darn good condition.
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - autoinsurance.noneto.com
Q: When a car has a dual exhaust do you need to buy two mufflers if you want to get new ones: ex.Charger srt8?
I bought a charger srt8 and wanted to add the new Flowmaster's Super 44's and I wanted to ask if I needed to buy two mufflers or just one for the exhaust. I'm trying to get a deeper throatier sound, if any advice to getting that i appreciate it.
A: the srt-8 comes with dual exhaust so if you want to change then you,ll have to buy two mufflers for it,those are nice cars ,but don't always sound the best from the factory, adding 44,s to it will help it sound a lot better, good luck.
Q: What is the difference between Jeep grand Cherokee srt8 2006 and 2007?
I know that the years are different, don't have to point out the obvious but any specifics different about the two?
A: No specific differences.
Q: Is it normal for the 07 Jeep GC SRT8 to make an odd noise when turning off the car using remote start system?
It's a brand new car that we are looking to buy from the dealer. They say it's normal something about the system needing to reset. I don't know how to describe the noise, kind of like a single clank right when you turn the car off remotely.
A: i dont think so. what kind of noise is it like an engine noise or, an audiable sound like a beep. more info needed. and if it is engine then take it in.
Q: How much does a Brand new Dodge Challenger SRT8 cost in Mexico?
Because I plan on joining the army and use my signing bonus to buy a new car. I also want to save some money.
A: depends who is buying it.......drug dealers pay cash, so they'll look for a deal........a regular working man won't have the pesos or credit, so he'll get stuck paying more.
Q: Can I put a dodge viper srt10 engine in a dodge charger with a srt8 HEMI?
They are both dodges so it should be possible.
A: I'm sure it's possible, but with some hefty modifications. I'd first make sure that it will fit in the engine bay. Then I'd find a computer wiz who can get the car's computer to talk to the v-10's computer. It will probably run but the transmission might not shift. We ran into this at a shop I used to work at when we installed a v-8 in a Prowler.
Q: How much would a down payment on a Dodge Charger SRT8 be?
I looked online and found one i like and the price for it is $27,748. So how much do you think the down payment on it would be?
A: Downpayment can be anything you want it to be. Just keep in mind that the lower your downpayment, the higher the COB ( cost of borrowing ) will be as you are paying more in interest charges as well as possibly even a higher interest rate.
Some places ask for a minimum of 5% down, others say no-money-down. I would suggest putting down as much as you can comfortably afford so you pay less interest on the loan.
Nice car BTW
Q: What do you think of the Dodger Charger srt8?
i think it is awesome, it is very fast with the 6.1 L v8 425 hp hemi and 4 doors so it is also very roomy.
perfect for someone who wants to have a fast sports car and have room for the passengers in the back.
what do you think? do you like them?
A: I don't think much of it, to me the car lacks focus, big car with a big engine. Its more of an image car, too heavy to be a performance car, too heavy and with ponderous handling to be sporty. Old school technology.
Q: Will a 300C SRT8 with snow tires make a huge difference in the snow?
We have previously owned a 300C that was terrible in the snow. It was RWD and I believe it had all season tires. We loved the car so much that we're now getting the SRT8 version. Will this one be any better in the snow if we added snow tires? The last one couldn't even get up the driveway...
Thank you!!
A: Snow tires will make a big difference. I recommend the Blizzak (I'm not sure of the spelling) snow tire which is avaailible with snipes (small spikes built into the tire). You may want to consider purchasing 4 snow tires.
Q: How much should i pay for a 2006 srt8 jeep?
It has 36,000K miles on it. the dealer is asking 30,000. Is that a good price? Or do you think i can talk him down a little? A lot?
A: I wouldn't pay more than 25k for that car. However they are 50k new, so 30k is pretty reasonable. I just usually pay bottom dollar for my vehicles, I find the best deals I can.
